1930s Log Cabin? Here’s proof.

When the Hansen family moved north from Chicago sometime in the 1930s, they built a log cabin structure on point of land facing east and with unparalleled access to what is now known as Hansen Lake.

You’d never know it based on how comfortable and up-to-date the interior is except for one specific thing: this existing log wall next to the stairway to the second floor bedrooms.

It gives a hint it just how rustic this place was back in the day, and it’s a feature we just love about the home. It’s a constant reminder of one family’s heritage, and a call to steward this amazing property forward.

I hope that you’ll be able to come up here and see it someday, and hopefully, soon. — David
